Jeannine Dabb Artist Bio
Jeannine Dabb is an artist residing in York, PA. She recently returned to college to study painting after 22 years of owning a small business in the medical aesthetics industry as an aesthetician and barber. She volunteered nationally in this field, serving eight years as a board member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists, and one year as President.
She graduated from York College of Pennsylvania in December of 2020 with honors. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art, with a specialty in painting and drawing and a minor in Art History.
Fall (2019) three of her artworks were accepted into the York Art Association Forty-Ninth Annual Juried Exhibition.
In February 2020 she won an Award of Distinction in Emerging Visions, at Creative York, York, PA. Recently, five of her works were accepted into the Annual Juried Student Exhibition (2020) at York College Galleries; and won 2 awards; second place for her painting (Persuasion) and honorable mention for her first installation work, (Separation) at York College of Pennsylvania, York, PA (Jurors: Susan Scofield and Jeremy Friend). She placed 2nd and received an honorable mention.
First solo show at the Grotto in downtown York, PA, for the months of July and August. Her work was accepted into the York Fest show in York, PA Fall of 2020. Winter of 2020, Jeannine won 1st place in the graduating class show 2020.
At Marketview Arts, in York PA, solo show, "Underneath It All" 21.
In March she had her 3rd solo show at Molly's Courtyard Cafe in York, " A Lil Bit O Country".
Jeannine completed a 4 x 6-foot commission for Penn State Hampden Hospital's Surgical waiting room and 9 prints of different works for the hospital's hallways and rooms.
Fall of 2021 one was chosen for Art of the State at The State Museum of Pennsylvania, Julia Dolan, Ph.D., Matthew Hinçman and Joyce Owens, Autumnal Leaf Showers On Cherry and Market.

Awarded 2 awards of distinction at York Fest’s Juried Art Show in August 2021.
The Special 50th Anniversary Award for the York Art Association’s Juried Show by juror, Dr. Martha Lucy of the Barnes Foundation.
Jeannine currently serves as the Appell Arts Fellow for York Colleges Marketview Arts and the York College of Pennsylvania’s, Center For Community Engagement from August 2021-June 2022.

Jeannine received a third place award in "Around York County's", York Art Association juried by Matthew Clay Robinson
She won best of the category at the Philadelphia Masonic Temple Show 10/2022

She just completed a commission and 5 images for prints for Penn State Lancaster Hospital for 2022.
She also entered a national call for Art for San Antonio Texas's University Children's and Women's Hospital and had 2 watercolors chosen for purchase.

Jeannine recently received an honorable mention in the National Printmaking show juried by Helen Frederick. Annapolis Quiet Waters Gallery.
She was accepted into the Wayne Arts Center juried show in Philadelphia, PA.
Jeannine is also on display @ the Berks Alliance juried show @ Goggleworks in Reading Pa.

Her solo show "A Little Dabb of This and a Little Dabb of That" is being shown through Creative York @ The Outdoor Country Club. Closing Reception is open to the public June 2, 2023, 6-8 pm

Jeannine Dabb is the Artist in Residence @ Marketview Arts, and works for The Center For Community Engagement as the Artist In Residence @ York College. For Years 2022-current.
Jeannine is actively pursuing her Masters of Fine Arts at Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA expected graduation is May 2025.

She is currently scheduled for 6 shows including her thesis shows in the following year.

She works as a full-time studio artist, and actively takes commissions.
